What do you enjoy most about working at CMR? 

I enjoy working at CMR because we’re such a close-knit group of individuals. We’ve all got the same outlook on project controls and we want to make the construction-built environment a better place.

What would your advice be to someone interested in working at CMR?  

For someone interested in working CMR, I would say take the plunge. It’s such an exciting company to join and we’re at such a good stage in our progression.

What has been your proudest achievement so far at CMR?

My proudest achievement CMR so far is the growing of the Risk Team. When I first joined CMR it was only myself and now we’re a team of five.

What motivates you every day?

What motivates me every day is the fact that I think we can make the construction industry a much more efficient place and we can build a better world together.

How has your career progressed since joining?

Since joining CMR, my career has really progressed, I’ve increased the amount of responsibility. I’m currently managing 3 people, and I’m also in a senior leadership risk role on the project I’m working on.

What skills do you need to be good at your job?

To be good at my job, I think one of the most important things in risk manager is people skills. You obviously need the technical knowledge behind yourself, but I think the ability to work and talk with people is the most important skill.

How did you get into what you do?

I fell into the construction industry. I actually studied Russian and Business Management at university, but then I did a summer internship and I really enjoyed it and haven’t looked back since.

When you’re not at work, what do you like to do?

When I’m not at work, I really like to watch and also play sports. I also like going travelling. I’m actually a ski instructor and I’ve got an advanced diving qualification as well.
